CONTINUUM GETS SUBSTANTIAL R&D TAX REBATE FOR CLIENT

We’re delighted to announce the recent procurement of a large cash rebate from HMRC for one of our clients, QGate Software Ltd., under the R&D Tax Credits scheme.

QGate is a Specialist CRM company. Part of the business develops data deduplication and telephony integration products, sold globally to enhance the major CRM solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Continuum has provided finance director and accounting services to QGate for many years.

Brian Green takes up the story: “It all came in a bit of a flash really. Whilst performing our day to day role, we became aware that they were doing some really powerful stuff and seemed to go that extra mile on projects ensuring that their developments stood out from the crowd. When we looked a bit deeper it quickly became clear that they could qualify for R&D Tax Credits following changes to the qualifying rules. It took a while to get all the relevant information together but the team worked incredibly hard and the outcome was more than worth it all round.”

Rowland Dexter, founder and MD of QGate adds: “This was a bit of a game changer for us although having known Brian and Helen for many years, I’m never surprised when they pull a rabbit out of the hat like this. I was vaguely aware of R&D Tax Credits before this – now I’ll never forget them! The benefit to QGate is that we have been able re-invest the credits to further speed up the developments and enable us to bring these to market sooner than expected.”
