Accountant (Practice)

We are an ambitious, rapidly growing firm of Accountants in Winchester looking to add to a high performing and supportive team by recruiting another accountant into the business services team on either a full or part time basis.   The role will be to support the management team and the successful recruit must be a good ‘all-rounder’.

You will report directly to the senior management team and it is essential that you will have worked in an accountancy practice and have good experience across the following:

  • Preparation of full Statutory Accounts from incomplete records or from a client’s bookkeeping software package to draft stage
  • Able to present and prepare a full Accounts working papers file to review stage
  • Company Corporation tax preparation to draft stage
  • Good reconciliation and presentation skills
  • Management accounting experience
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll
  • Experience in personal and/or corporate tax

Our clients are made up of a variety of Limited Companies and Partnerships ranging from start-ups through to multi-million pound operations.  We actively encourage our staff to learn new skills and undertake training to enhance their abilities.

You will be a qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience accountant with demonstrable experience of a similar role in practice who is comfortable being hands on and liaising directly with clients.

Experience in or assisting in personal tax and corporate tax planning would be useful. More useful still would be a desire to expand your knowledge in these fields.

It is desirable that you have a working knowledge of all or some of the following software packages; BTC, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, Excel and Word.
